Masterline Tideline TL60m
This is my first impression review of
the reel The first thing you notice with this reel is the quality it’s made from the highest quality materials and
engineered to last it has a centrifugal breaking system and level wind. The reel is very smooth running and the star drag
is very responsive as is also the spool release system the handles feel a little longer than most of the reels of a similar
size so it makes winding in a bit easier.

the reel has a beautiful finish and is just the right size for most of
our kayak fishing needs .
The wind system keeps the line spooled just right slightly bulked in the
middle It is set like this so you don’t get line catching on the reel body and damaging the line
The rubberized feel to the handles makes it easy to grip note the side
plate screws these are slightly shorter than most so that while reeling in you don’t catch your fingers on them
The gold anodized coating on the inner cage is a special tough coating
to cope with the salt water running from the line when spooled
The reel seating plate is riveted to the cage its worth noting with this
plate that the feet on the plate are slightly shorter than many other reels just by about 1-2 millimeters this makes the reel
sit better in the rod reel seat and will stop that annoying small movement we sometimes get with other reels when fixed to
the rods it gives a much better stronger contact in the reel seat .
I think this reel is very well made and should
last many years the level wind is perfectly set and the quality over all is top notch I was very impressed with this reel
when using it with both its smoothness and toughness The reel retails for £39.95 . I feel that it is good value for
money so much so that I just ordered another one For the price I don’t think you can go wrong with it.
