Newfoundland Paddle Top
This is my first impressions review
Firstly
you notice the quality of the material and build is second to none it’s made by palm so you know its top notch kit using
only the finest quality material and fittings
This top is a lightweight paddle top it’s the ideal top for using
with paddle pants or over your wetsuit while fishing
The official features are.

• Fully taped seams

High visibility reflective piping
The bright orange colour and solas reflective piping are very visible to
the eye
So if in a rescue situation you would be seen easily the material is xp50 which is a light weight breathable fabric
The clever cut of the top with the elasticised waist seals mean you could easily
wear a jumper underneath in the winter note the ample material around the shoulders to help when paddling or reaching forward
The side profile shows the deep wired hood which would keep the rain out of your
eyes when fishing or paddling
The superb double neck fastening system has a water tight zip and Velcro fasteners
as well to keep out the rain and spray
The hood area shows the wired outer hood and the inner storm seal which
can be pulled tightly with a draw cord this is an extremely effective system which will keep you dry in the rain the hood
can also be folded back there is a small Velcro retaining clip at the back of the collar
Behind the front pocket there is a well designed flock lined hand warmer
for those cold hands
The large front pocket also has a water resistant zip the front pocket is semi
dry
Below the superbly designed velcroed storm cuffs these are very comfortable and will not rub or chaff your wrists
while paddling or fishing
I think this is the ideal fishing/paddling top it offers top quality and a massive
amount of features I patricianly liked the wired hood and the overall comfortable feel of the top you feel protected yet it
still feels very light and not restricting at all you could comfortably fish wearing it all day the quality of the design
and materials mean it will last along time I think palm have got this top just right for us kayak fishermen the top retails
at £69.95 which is excellent value for the quality you are getting
