Kayak Fishing

Making a crate

this is a simple idea of how to make your own tackle box for the back of your kayak for storing all those bits and bobs

This project did not cost the earth to do it is very effective and as you can see from the photos is a very smart and  practical piece of kit .

This is one of those great projects that can be done inside when the weather is bad and we can not get out to fish.

the box was from Home base for £1.99 and some tubing for £1.45. A few cable ties and a hacksaw later it was taking shape.

Having routed through my fishing shed I found an old tackle bag with clips on it so I attached it inside the box.

Then I remembered a cycling cool bag that I got from Aldi a few years ago, that attaches to your handlebars with straps. These straps attach it to the tackle bag so that both are secure in the box if I capsize

So there it is, a rod and net holder, a tackle box and a bait box, for less than £5. All secure as one unit.
