Crab bait

crab is probably the most sort after bait that the fisherman uses
this bait can be gathered by yourself down at the low water line
beneath rocks and under seaweed

this bait comes in three forms
the hard back , the peeler, and the soft back

small hard backs can be used for fish like wrasse
the peeler can be used as a tipping, cocktail bait or on its own for a great selection of fish the soft back is often used for targeting smooth hounds

peel the crab down and cut it in half if it is a big one

weave he crab on the hook all the way up to the shank

the crab should be the same lenght as the hook

whip the crab on to the hook using bait elastic concentrating on the eye of the hook
