The new surf to summit high back seat. The kayak seat is probably one
of the most neglected pieces of kit we use. With the wrong seat or a seat without enough back support you can look forward
to back ache at best but strides are being made I this area now . The new surf to summit high back seat is a fine example
of how technology is catching up with us kayak fishermen the seat is ergonomically designed with smooth lines and deep cushioning
it also incorporates excellent back support so sitting in this seat for ¾ hours wont be a problem .the seat comes with a rear
zipped pouch which is removable .and brass clips all around.
Above is a photo showing the nice clean lines of this new seat and deep cushioned
foam.
Note the deep moulded buttons on the back rest part of the seat this is to allow for
maximum air flow and reduce sweating when sitting for a long session.
Deep ribs and thick foam padding on the seat area gives a very comfortable position.
This photo shows the rear detachable back pack which is quite large and would be an
ideal place to store flares or first aid kit.
Strong adjustable straps are shown here which are designed to give maximum
support while being used.
All fastenings are made from heavy duty brass.
This is a very well
thought out piece of quality kit which will aid us kayak fishermen no end specially those of us with back problems the high
back seat support allows for good back support and yet still allows for airflow with the moulded in buttons. The seats
are available for £69.99 from brookbanks and are good value for that and I am sure will be a real winner with us all.
